Invited to continue my creative relationship with the Findhorn region, I spent 3 months re-visiting the landscape of the area as well as working with local elders of Findhorn Village on creative explorations to prompt conversations of the environment in which they live. I also took creative work out to public events to spark thoughts on the connections we feel to the world around us. This residency was supported by Findhorn Bay Arts as part of the 2024 Findhorn Bay Festival.

Water, Wind & Light
The outcome of the residency was a two-channel film. The audio featured the voices of residents, local poets and people connected to the area and the video was a celebration of the water, wind & light so prevalent in the area.
Special thanks to Audrey Mowbry, Jean Allan, Irene Hunt and James Chitty and poets Andy Allan, Leslie Jones and Patricia O'Shea from ForWORDS writing group.

Findhorn Residents
On Wednesdays, I met with local residents just after their coffee morning to explore artistic making related to elements of the world around us -- water, wind and light. We used diffusion paper, played with ink marbling and cyanotypes and made wind catchers, kites and flags. We shared conversations around the lives we have lived and how we each enjoyed nature at our doorstep in Findhorn Village.
Art & Ecology
On the Saturday before the exhibition (28 Sept) I co-led a walk of the Findhorn Bay and Coast with ecology educator Jack Farge from Wild Things!. We led a group of 18 people through experiences of tuning into different senses. Blindfolded, they focused on touch as a way to describe natural objects. On the coast and they created sound and vision maps relational in distance and direction. Jack added fascinating information connected to the different species and places we encountered.
